DuVernay amplifies the work of people of color and women of all kinds through her non-profit film collective ARRAY. She is a writer, director, producer and film distributor, the winner of the Emmy, BAFTA and Peabody Awards, and an Academy award nominee. Her directorial work includes the limited-series WHEN THEY SEE US, the historical drama SELMA, the criminal justice documentary 13TH and Disney’s A WRINKLE IN TIME.
Alex Campbell
Master Teacher
Campbell is a history teacher and former biology teacher at Elizabethton High School in Tennessee, A creative and masterful teacher with a passion for the past, he has several times been named EHS Teacher of the Year. He graduated from Northeast State and Eastern Tennessee State University with degrees in history and biology.
